Day 20 - Skipping again

Finally deduced that my sore knees were a combination of not doing lunges correctly and also alternating my legs when skipping. Now I am bouncing on the balls of my feet and was able to do the 900 reps with relative ease.

Not really losing any weight at the moment - but am definitely putting on muscle. This week I have dropped approx 1kg of weight, dropped 2% body fat (5% since day 1) and put on a kilo of muscle. WOW.

Then again, prior to the program, I did make a special effort to fatten up :)

Nevertheless, I must admit I am feeling much better and I am super motivated to put myself through more of the same.

A nice 1000 rep skip should set me straight tomorrow morning :)

  1. Been having the same problem with jumping except I'm getting sore ankles from using both feet. When you jump on the balls of your feet, do you have to double-bounce while the rope is still in the air? I do, but I wonder if this is consuming more energy.

  2. Claudia, this method of bouncing on the balls of my feet may or may not be recommended by our fearless leader. However, it does get me through the skipping reps relatively painlessly. It seems to take pressure of my knees. I still have tiredness in my shins - but it just feels like muscle / minor bone pain.

When I do my skipping on the balls of my feet, I find I don't need to double bounce. It doesn't feel like it is taking more energy - because it feels easier than me jumping on alternate legs.

    Hope this helps

  3. Dude, those numbers (weight loss, etc) are still awesome. A kilo a week of fat is probably a good long-term average to go for. Sounds like you're beating the crap out of that target!

  4. Thanks Noel. Had a nice salad today with John F and Ashley. Don't forget I fattened up a lot prior to the program beginning.

Most of my weight loss is from not drinking beer :)

I reckon I will lose a bit more this next week looking at my diet.

You're doing pretty good too I hear !
