Well, after skipping and working out daily for 13 days now, most muscle soreness has subsided. That is except for below my knees in the shins area. I did a bit of reading on the internet and it was suggested to put ice on them. It was also suggested that I warm them up before I start my morning routine.
Anyway, I iced them last nite and it felt a lot better this morning.
Today I haven't been 100% motivated. I feel burdened with all the knowledge we have accumulated over the past 13 days - and feel kinda sad that I can't just drop everything now and turn back into the beer drinking, smoking, eat anything slob that I used to be.
On a happier note, I've lost 5kg since we started which is kinda nice :)
I hope tommorrow is a happier day :)
I find these feelings come and go quickly. Today wishing for a beer tomorrow so happy I didn't have one and pushing forward. I had 2 beers on about day 10, then did an extra hard workout the next day. Since then been back on track.
ReplyDeleteI use to smoke a long time ago too. Maybe have 1 smoke, then see how long you can go. Everyone trying to quit smoking make it an all or nothing rule. Thing is your body is addicted to the nicotine. If you had only 4 cigarets in a month it's probably about 1/200th of what you had before. Then month 2 have 1 every 2 weeks, then see if you can go the 3rd month without.
For the beer cravings drink water and have some food. After the craving drops a lot. I crave beer when I am tired or thirsty. Food and water help a lot. After a week or so cravings stop big time!
Thanks for the inspiration Brent. The smoking and drinking has been easy to kick - especially given the fast results of the program.
