OK - so I woke up an hour late this morning and totally missed my opportunity to work out. Rather than miss it all together, I came home after work and had my apple dinner and went for a 30 minute brisk walk - I didn't want to skip in the basement because there is a lot of traffic in the evenings. This was closely followed by my back workout including the new Kung Fu situps.
Each workout is taking me about an hour these days - each workout results in working each bodypart to failure or close to it. I am really digging deep into the motivation bucket to put myself through the workouts each day.
One thing that has really helped me is taking notice of how I talk to myself about the workout. For example, instead of saying "I'm just going to get this over with", I'll say "I am just going to finish this workout and then it is complete for today". Or, "I HAVE to work out today" is "I choose to workout today". Sounds silly but it kinda works.
OK well its 10pm, time for me to finish this plate of broccoli off and go to bed :)
P.S. I wonder if there are any indulgences on the weekend.
